Meanwhile, Elliot Crandle, the Senate Majority Leader, is plotting to get the sitting President a third term by luring the States to vote for a Constitutional Convention. He only needs six states to reach his goal. He tasks a legislative aid from New York to convince Vanessa Wilsey, a former senator from New York, a New York Times best-selling author, and a woman respected by people from both parties to Chair the Convention. The legislative aid, knowing that Joe knows Vanessa very well, enlists Joe to help him convince Vanessa to take the job.
Joe has ideas of his own. There has only been one Constitutional Convention and that was in 1789, and George Washington was the Chair. Joe knows the Chairperson can steer the Convention in any direction she wants, and Joe has his own agenda. He convinces Vanessa to take the position.
Elliot finds out. Dark forces are at work. People are killed. Some are assassinated. Will the Convention happen? Will it change the course of American history, or will it simply result in more murder and sabotage?
This is a political thriller, but it addresses real issues amidst the murder and mayhem.
