Rosendo Churión has researched the production of short stories from their origins to the present day and has created the "Functional Model of the Modern Literary Short Story" with its constant and variable elements of structure that allows us to analyze a short story, determine its literary genre and differentiate it from other genres of literature. It also makes it possible to determine whether a story is a literary tale or not.
