In their arms, danger becomes desire.

Every year, monsters demand their Offerings—women like me. This year, I thought I escaped. I thought I was safe. Then he arrived.

The Viscount.

Dangerous and ruthless, he declares me a late Offering.

Swept into the deadly realm of the Shadowfen, I realize I’m not here by chance.

They want to rule, and I’m their key. My reality crumbles, and as much as we act like enemies, they refuse to let me go. Their touch ignites a fire I can’t resist, fueling desires I never expected.

They call me their little monster.

Maybe they’re right.

Because when everything is stripped away, a fiercer side of me no one expected—not even me—emerges.

You see, in the shadows, temptation and peril collide.

So, ready or not, the monster within is about to be unleashed… and these three Shadowfen are eager to claim their prize...

Me…Their Pretty Little Monster is a standalone paranormal romance with darker themes, enemies to lovers, a sassy heroine who comes into her own power, and three stubborn Alphas who aren’t releasing her.

Their Pretty Little Monster by Mila Young is a paranormal why choose romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Alan Stone, Sable Stark, Theo Sinclair and Tom Haire. This book is part of the Monsters Night series and can be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Killian, Wolfe, Nyko, and Sage. I loved getting all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Alan, Sable, Theo, and Tom did an amazing job on the narration. They all really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you’re looking for a paranormal romance, romantasy, why choose romance, or enemies to lover's romance.

Honestly, I only cared for two of the narrators and the storyline was just not it for me. The first two books in the monsters night series were much more enjoyable and had an entirely different cast of voice actors.

It was just meh

I have read/listened to books by this author before so I knew I would enjoy the plot and character development and I wasn't wrong! I enjoyed this world and am definitely going to be reading/listening to the other 2 in this shared world with the other monster sacrifices! I fell for Sage with her trying to help out and save her mother, definitely made me root for her real quick. I hated the world she came from right away but jokes on them with who she ends up being and becoming in the other world muahaha.

I first off want to mention the audio. Now this is a full cast which I appreciated, one male narrator per main male character and then a female narrator for Sage. Now I loved the men, I have listened to most of them before and they did a good job embodying their characters (I think Niko and Killian were my favs in that regard haha) and bringing these characters to life. I felt and could imagine them based on their performances and inflections, all the emotions came through so well. The female narrator on the other hand was not my favorite. Some moments she had no emotion and just because it was a soft moment doesnt mean you can be a robot. I would give her like a B or B- because she was good in a fair amount of the book but there were some moments I thought she had a real potential moment to hit it out of the park and she unfortunately missed. I will say I thought she went all out for the smexy scenes hahaha with the way the shadow creatures made her "happy" if you know what I mean haha. I do listen at 1.5-1.6X so that helped too.

Storyline was good, I appreciated the fantasy/paranormal with the whychoose moments. Monster romance with a good plot line and not just smut was good too (not that I would complain but this had a good balance between it ll). I was sorta sad the one baddie didnt get to be taken out by the person who deserved to end them, but I do like how everything ended. Not spoiling it, I promise! I liked the play on the food and creatures, I could envision the world this author created, I laughed with the various foods and how Sage reacted haha. I want some of those sweet rolls and mooncakes though! Also the spiders at the end would have killed me haha, I would not been calm at that ceremony, not one bit.

You also get a little sci-fi in this one, with where the folks live and the technology used on the ship/Howler. I appreciated how all of these genres blended together. I also thought the ritual was interesting, but it showed their monster/feral side and I liked the jewelry and powers part (I do wish we got more of that though from each of them). I wish I could see some art for their Shadowfin side, I could imagine 2 of the 3 really well, not so much Niko. But their personalities shone through the audio and were super consistent storywise, which is always a plus!

Enjoyed the other books in this series… but narration change and the story left me a little disappointed with this story.

Sage, Killian, Wolfe and Nyko

3.5*

The narrators did a good job.
Sage is taking hostage and taken to another realm. Turns out the three that took her are her mates. In this story we have their relationship, a war that is going on, Sage discovers a family she never knew, Sage also learns things about herself. It was interesting and I found it funny how the narrator said the A word as Sage likes to throw that word around.
