Nearly eighty years ago, the town of Port Luck was a thriving community in the wilds of Alaska. That was until a series of unexplained deaths and disappearances forced the townspeople to abandon their home.
The town has since been re-inhabited, drawing in new residents and businesses. By all accounts, the town is thriving. Until a body is found on the outskirts of town, shattering the illusion of safety and security.
Sheriff Johnny Myers is tasked with investigating the grisly scene. What at first appears to be a random animal attack soon reveals itself to be something much more sinister. As the bodies pile up, Johnny digs into the town’s tragic past, searching for a way to stop the cycle of violence.
In the wake of the ever-growing death toll, Johnny is forced to face the truth. The stories were real. And it’s happening again....

Critic reviews
“Port Luck proves that Timothy King’s excellent debut novel ‘Seven Rabbits’ was no fluke. This gore-drenched creature feature sinks its teeth into the reader from the first chapter and doesn’t let go even beyond the final page.” (James Kaine, author of 'My Pet Werewolf)
"This is an action-packed, bone-chilling horror novel by none other than the mastermind behind ‘Seven Rabbits’. It is sure to scratch all the itches of some of the best creature features out there. Set to be released in Early May, this little slice of horror is sure to satiate the palate like none other." (David Hardy, author of All the Rage)

Being a Paranormal Investigator myself, I took interest in the legends and folklore this book is based on, several years ago.
This book really brought out some creative ways for those tales to come to life and it was wonderfully done!
I fell in love with the characters and couldn't wait to hear the next chapter!

cons
- should've been bigger and longer
- characters that felt left out
- timeline of the story like explore history about it. reason it can to be like "why" or "how"?
- Questions like "why did they decide "that" at all cuz of "this"?
- There are few loop holes that felt the story ignored.
pros
- create POV
- knowing it's rating to the reader, it's not a kids book but a rated R book that explores horror
- give Mystery
- How story create lore of its own plus inspired by true event.
- Give personality for the characters
- Create a Snow theme horror story that make readers to picture it. Understand that this is not a summer day or fall day. it's a winte, snowy, and cold setting.
-Kinda give vibes from other snowy creature movies like the Abominable, Yeti, or any kind. Times it like those B movies vibes that seen underrated.
- Good details in both story and scene.
If by chance of Sequel, I guess be bigger and entertaining. Hopefully it'll just either follows the same characters or not.
good read if by a movie, be 7.8 out of 10 (or 8 out of 10)
