Disappointed

Book was performed beautifully!!
A book about a "Bane Witch" who uses poisonous plants to take out corrupt men should have been a fierce, unapologetic anthem of vengeance. Turning around and throwing in "not all men" tropes and finding true love in a story that is supposed to be dealing with the heavy reality of domestic violence feels cheap and completely ruins the momentum. Author attempted too much for the story- embracing helping other women would have been so much better than a “ I can’t help it I have never known gentle love of a good man” that’s obvious!!The main character was the demise of such a great concept of a story - it actually saddens me - there was such potential

The book took me on a journey from beginning to end. I learned a great deal about coming into our own personal power.

Let it sit a bit.

I was very quickly into this book. I loved trying to figure out what was going on…with the murder, the aunts, the sheriff. It kept me guessing.

Deliciously rich and witchy – fantastic listen!

The Bane Witch is so fantastic, it absolutely sucked me in from the very first page! Every once in a while, you read a book and you know instantly that you’re going to fall in love with it. Then maybe a quarter of the way through you are starting to anticipate feeling sad when the book is over. This is that. I was totally drawn in, captivated, hanging on every masterfully woven sentence. Ava Morgyn wrote. This book played out like a rich tapestry in my mind the color and sound and smell, every piece of my imagination and sense is fully engaged. I felt so much compassion for each of the characters and they’re delightfully rich back stories. This is my favorite of Ava Morgyn’s books thus far, and I cannot wait to Read whatever she writes next.
