Small town with mysterious rules and dark secrets

I was hooked at the premise of a small town with mysterious rules, but John Durgin delivered so much more with this one! I loved the themes of friendship, trust, and community. I highly recommend the audio version narrated by Derek Austin!!

John Durgin knows how to write to captivate and Derek Austin’s delivery ABSOLUTELY draws you in! Derek really knows how to bring John’s characters to life. I found myself holding my breath with suspense and didn’t want to stop. Highly recommend anyone to have a listen!

Fun listen

This was really enjoyable. My first time with this author. There was a friendship subplot that added a lot to the story. The narrator was fantastic. He sounds like Frank Muller.

This was such a a great book! Grabbed me from the first minute and held on through to the end. Derek Austin has a way of really keeping you hooked with the way he reads it. John Durgin's writing was intense and so full of details you can literally play a movie in your head. You get a good sense of the characters and are really rooting for some!
This dynamic duo made this one of the quickest listens ever for me! Highly recommend!

Wow. Just wow.

This is like a modern retelling of The Most Dangerous Game. It was so much fun that I listened to it in a single sitting.

It lures you in immediately and then never lets you go until the very end.
