The day Luther confirmed his father was lynched in Mississippi in the turbulent 1930's, he was a changed man. The ugly truth was he could have been among the thousands of innocent men, most of whom were black, who were lynched by angry mobs which took justice in their own hands. Luther left his home in Canada for the U.S., vowing to uncover the truth. He soon discovered that racially-segregated Clarksville, Mississippi, could have many answers to his many questions. Somehow, to his dismay, he found solace in a stream running through the town, a welcomed reminder of the one back at home in Canada.
As the pieces of the puzzle came together, Luther's challenge now was how to deal with the answers to his many questions when close friends were ready to speak. The answers ran deep...very, very deep.
