just have a straight forward fight

This was a hard listen, all the fights are drawn out and full of Deux Ex Machina moments leaving me skipping whole chapters just to progress a single fight scene.

you don't have to have fight scenes that are 10 or 15 chapters long

I feel like the author may not have known where they were going with the book and this is just my personal preference, you don't have to have a fight scene that covers more than let's say three chapters. way way way too much detail, never thought I'd really say that

Great Narrator

Very good narrator. Great main character. Good character development and world building. Leaves a lot to expand on. Very excited for more books to come.

Rambling

overall good.
negative is the need to explain, repeat, and expand the same point multiple times. saying something is large doesn't need 8 different descriptors to make the point.

Slow start great finish

Love the storyline and looking forward to book 2. Fast paced and easy listen as I work out
