Playing Defense With Love

Loves this story! This is the 2nd audiobook ive listened to by the author. Kasha did a great job writing realistically flawed individuals who both tried to approach their unfolding love story like a game to be played. Sloan and Deion had to learn to fully lean into their heart's desire.
I'm glad love won over the fear!

Well written!!!

Love the witty banter between Sloane and Deck. Very complex pair. Sloane was tough to take at times, blowing up at the smallest things.....almost gave up on this book after her performance at the honky-tonk bar. She is in her 30's but did not deem it necessary to wear a stain-free shirt when going shopping? Ridiculous. I get being emotionally stunted and maybe scarred by previous entanglements but yeesh. All the lies, smoke, and mirrors letting everyone other than Deck tap dance on her self esteem. frustrating. end was underwhelming. Stanley is a whole MESS. Wanted to see more growth from Sloane. Ending was underwhelming

Hilarious!!

This is my first read from this author and I didn't think I'd laugh my way through a story of 2 people from very different worlds just trying to figure out how to make their lives fit each other without sacrificing themselves. Good read.

Very Realistic Storyline

Not often a regular around the way good lands a rich ball player but I love to see it. Dec and Sloane were the perfect example of opposites attracting.
