informative but repetitive, seems to be by an A. I

The format is like aan academic paper done for practice, suggesting done by an A. I. as much information is repeated many times, but, on th eplus side, the perspective is inclusive and remarks on what is missing in history saying as much as what has been recorded. I do not believe the author is human as there are no interviews with him and he is unbelievably prolific. The virtual voice mispronounces words. There is complete lack of interesting anecdotes, only court records and newspapers, etc, quoted. Seems to be an attempt at high level academia by A. I. that has not gotten the skills yet. If you want to be immersed in a world, this is not the way to go. i did not finish it but listened to about 3 chapters and the intro. because it is so boringly written.

Disappointed. This book is NOT what I had hoped for or imagined. It is all about homo-love/sex and terribly repetative. Each chapter could be cut by at least one third, if not half. Boring.
