Cold, Dark, and Silent by David C. Reed is a masterful blend of suspense, mystery, and atmospheric storytelling that kept me hooked from start to finish. Reed's vivid descriptions and compelling characters create a hauntingly immersive experience, drawing you into a world that’s both chilling and intriguing.

The pacing is impeccable—keeping the tension high without feeling rushed, and the twists and turns kept me guessing until the very end. Reed's writing style is atmospheric and richly detailed, making the cold, dark setting almost a character in itself. authentic and chilling

This is a well told tale. The "good guys" are relatable and likeable. The "bad" guys are reprehensible.

Great Book

The story had many twists and turns and the narrator did a great job with his voice overs.

Good first installment

This book does a good job at keeping you engaged into the story from the start. There are some slower parts of this story, but I believe that’s due to the fact that this book is setting up for the future for later installments. Makes me excited to get into the next book and see where the story goes. The narrator also does a fantastic job of changing the voices for each character and getting emotions and scenes correct. Overall great job by everyone involved!

Gripping story that captivated right from the beginning!

This isn’t my normal genre. A friend recommended this to me and I am so glad that he did! I was hooked by the second chapter. The characters are so relatable and familiar feeling that they create images in my mind while listening. Once I completely finish this title I will definitely be looking for more titles from this author.
