HIS SADDLE IS WAITING…
Reeling from a hard breakup is never fun. So what do the girls do? They drag me out from under my rock for a girl's weekend. Only we aren't going to the cabin like I had expected. Oh no.
Everything reminds me of him, and I can't help but feel jealous of every couple I see as we wander the Las Vegas Strip. The girls are having fun, and I'm over here wishing I could get over him.
"The only way you'll get over a man is by getting under another."
The wise words of Asher Leigh, my best friend. Ride or die.
Dallas Ryan. Say. No. More.
If there was anyone worth getting under, it was him, and I would stay under him until I needed to come up for air.
He believes me to be this innocent and delicate little flower, ready to be plucked and ruined. But I have secrets of my own, and I can't wait to tell him.
What happens in Vegas... Well, you know the rest...

The Stallion is the second book in the Men Under Review series. This is a dark dancer romance, marriage of convenience romance. Dallas was born into the MUR secret society. He has worked his way up and is about to become the leader of his crew. Dallas has to get married to claim his leadership status. Bria is the captain of the cheerleading squad at her college. They are about to head to the championships. Her boyfriend goes missing after he broke up with her. They had been together for the last seven years. Bria and her friends go for a night in Vegas and go to a MUR show. Dallas pretends to be a waiter before the show to scope out any available women. He is interested in Bria from the first sight. The girls have meet and greet tickets with the men after the show. Bria just needs an escape. She stumbles into Dallas’s office. He makes a move on her and has decided she will be his wife. This book was amazing. I can’t wait for more from this series.
Amanda L’Orien and Caden Hart did a phenomenal job narrating this book in duet style narration.

What I loved most is how Parker isn’t afraid to make these characters messy. Dallas starts off as controlling and cold, but as the story unfolds, you see his possessiveness hide a brutal need to protect Bria, even when it pushes her away. And Bria doesn’t bow to him. She fights him at every turn, and their constant push and pull makes their eventual surrender feel that much more earned.
The secret society backdrop adds a dangerous edge; betrayal comes from all sides, and Bria’s choices cost her more than just her pride. One of the most gut-punching moments is when Dallas risks everything to keep her safe, even when it means breaking the very rules that once defined him.
The duet narration is phenomenal. Amanda L’Orien breathes fire and resilience into Bria, while Caden Hart nails Dallas’s mix of dominance and vulnerability. Together, they bring the danger, the passion, and the heartbreak right into your ears.
This is a dark, passionate story about survival, trust, and the risk of giving your heart to someone who could destroy you or save you. By the time the last chapter closed, I felt like I had been through the fire with them.

Have you ever sat there and thought to yourself “I really love Magic Mike but it’s really missing that secret society/ unaliving aspect that I crave.”? Then let me introduce you to the Men Under Revue. This is the second book in the series and gives us a look at one of the other revues: Red Magic. This book gives us a different look at a very different dancer. The MMC in this book is a legacy, son to one of the most well-known dancers in the MUR. He has been ready for this life and all it entails. Dallas is confident and ready to lead Red Magic but in order to lead, he has to be married. Of course, Dallas has standards and can’t just marry anyone. That is until he meets Bria. Bria is a cheerleader in Arizona and leads her competition team. After a bad breakup, her friends treat her to a weekend in Vegas, topped off with Red Magic’s show and meet and greet passes. And who doesn’t love a drunken “meet and greet” with one of the top dancers. This is more than a story of a male stripper and a cheerleader having a drunk night in Vegas. The MUR aspect of the book makes this such an entertaining story with a little danger and characters that are more than they seem.
I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook of this, and it was great. I loved the characters and how the narrators brought each of them to life. This is the first time I’ve had an opportunity to listen to a book narrated by Amanda L’Orien and Caden Hart. They both did such a great job. The pace of the narration was perfect, and they really were able to keep me invested in the story. I found myself lost in the story and unable to hit pause. The chemistry that they were able to portray between these two characters really kept me invested in the characters.
At first glance, this would not be what I would see myself reading. But having read both books in this series, I have to say that I am a huge fan of this series. This book was a great addition to the series. It was packed with spicy good times and a story that sucked me in from the beginning. The side characters were great as well, especially Asher. I need to know more about her because there is definitely a story there.
