With a little money in savings, the plan turns towards making documentaries, and how to keep those savings from evaporating overnight while waiting for a little success to roll in.
The tutoring gig his old chair up at the university recommended him for wasn't his favorite option, but he knew it would beat anything else he'd drum up on short notice. The client was the most recent wife of the local computer magnate, needing help with her U.S. Citizenship exam. At the very least, he wouldn't be working with overparented children.
The change of jobs ushers in more changes, though. After a couple of years of a Monday night drink down at Tanner's with his now ex-coworker Ed, he suddenly has a date with Marlee, the bartender he'd always considered way out of his league.
Then there's Feather, one of Jackson's former students. With her graduation from Rock-T just around the corner and his recommendation to the graduate program in hand, the curvaceous blonde stunner seems to be throwing out not-too-subtle hints. Hints that she is fully aware he has kept his eyes and thoughts off her for contractual reasons and she's ready for that to come to an end.
Ten years out of the game, he's suddenly facing something he certainly hadn't been expecting. There's nothing stopping him from a consensual fling with his former student. In fact, he can't stop thinking about her, but then there's the bartender. Marlee is much closer to his age and the chemistry has suddenly become amazing. With his date looming, can he keep his mind off Feather for long enough to see what the future holds with Marlee?
After meeting his new tutoring client, Cristina, who turns out to be an indie actress he's already infatuated with, things just don't seem to be getting less confusing.
