An aristocrat has been brutally murdered and the only suspect is a young footman who happens to be brother to Clara, a maid employed at 221B Baker Street. Clara begs Sherlock Holmes to prove her brother innocent. Holmes agrees, and, in unmasking the real culprit, he and Watson uncover a murky and depraved world lurking behind the bland and elegant façade of a London mansion.

Susan Knight is quickly becoming a favorite pastiche writer of mine. Her ability to write like Doyle wrote is impressive. This short "book" is the best in this series so far. It carries all the hallmarks of a classic Holmes tale, including an opening at 221b, a trip to a stately home and the investigation of a crime amomg the noblity. As with all her work I've experienced, this is another one I highly recommend.

Holmes & Watson are asked by Clara, a maid at 221B, to investigate the murder of an aristocrat when her brother is the main suspect. As the case continues to develop, Holmes and Watson discover widespread sexually harassment and other depravity. The narration is outstanding.

The Case of the Reluctant Footman by Susan Knight is an excellent Sherlock Holmes crime mystery. Kevin E. Green did a wonderful job with the narration. The story is thrilling, interesting, entertaining, engaging and more. The Case of the Reluctant Forman is the seventh story in The Discoveries of Sherlock Holmes series. Each story is written by a different Sherlockian from all over the world. Each story is unique to the person. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
