Wow. These two narrators preformed this story fabulously! I loved their voices for these characters.

Book #4 Heartbreak Hockey series
This was my first book of the series, these are interconnected standalones. I will definitely be going back and listening to the first three books.

This story has so much drama, tension, chemistry, and emotions. Once I started I could not stop listening.

Dash is 18 and has been through something tragic. He won’t speak to anyone regarding his trauma but even his father. That is until he Mets Stacey a hot hockey player/bartender. These two become fast friends and very attached to each other. Dash has fast feelings which Stacey refuses to act on due to Dash’s trauma.

This story takes place over about 10 years building the relationship between the main characters. The slow burn of the actual romantic relationship was agonizing but in a good way. I wanted these two to give into each other so badly! And when they finally do oh boy 🥵

One of the best MM hockey romances I have read to date.

Dash and Stacey are everything!!!

When I found out that this book was coming out on audio, I knew I needed this book more than I knew it. I never thought that it would be this good. Kale and Tim were so amazing voicing Stacey and Dash. I knew it was going to be more than what I expected but I never thought it would this grand. I was so sad when it was over because that’s when you want more.

I loved how we got to see the past and then the now of how these two became friends and then lovers. If it wasn’t for Stacey, I don’t think that Dash would have been able to get through as much of the trauma as he did. I also liked how Stacey stood up to Travis when he could give him any personal information because it was a lot.

The pining was so intense and it goes on for years! The struggles that the two go through to get to be together was everything. The possessiveness from both men, especially from Dash, was really made me really into this book. And the jealousy was so on point when Dash met the the two twinks. The honey scene had to be one of my favorite because Dash knew exactly what he was going.

My heart broke for Stacey because all the guys, especially Casey knew of his feelings for Dash. When he tried to help his brother towards the end of the book, I laughed because when Dash realized it was a trick, he was out for vengeance.

I’m so glad that these get together before it got to late but it was so good how Dash talked to Syd. My favorite part was when Stacey and Dash went wedding appointment shopping and it was like they were getting married.

Man, when saw the marks on Dash from Syd holding him to hard, he wanted blood for hurting his Dashie.

I wished that Travis had voiced he wouldn’t have had a problem if Dash and Stacey were together because I have a feeling a lot of these things wouldn’t have happened. I also loved how we get to see the parts of Forbidden Hockey in this book because it makes you anxious what’s about to go down.

From the first kiss on the beginning, the possessiveness, to the spice and the jealousy, this book is just fabulous if you’re looking for unhinged men that make you swoon when they finally end up together. The spice with these two is so good and made it worth it.

There were so many funny moments. My favorite was probably when the guys are outside the bedroom. That whole scene had me giggling because the found family in this whole series is my absolute favorite of all.

♡I'm so obsessed with this series it isn't even funny! MM mixed with hockey is one of my all time weaknesses & S. Legend does it so well! I'm not a giant slow-burn fan but the slow burn tension between best friends Stacey & Dash was chefs kiss even though I was grinding my molars so hard the neighbors could probably hear it! I also really enjoyed the healing that took place in this book along with the patience of the characters for one another.

The duet narration for this audiobook was fantastic! Tim & Kale both did an amazing job bringing Dash & Stacey to life along with all of our amazing side characters!♡

Best Friends-to-Lovers 🩷

Friendzone Hockey is book 4 in the Heartbreak Hockey series and oh, be still my heart. Stacey and Dash’s story is full of angst and frustration, but also, love and friendship. My heart broke so many times during this story, but if anything changed, the outcome would have been different.

Tim Paige and Kale Williams were newer-to-me narrators but, wow, they were amazing at transforming Stacey and Dash into something real. Told in duet, I felt the frustration, the heartaches and the love these characters had for each other, with both of their outstanding performances.

Stacey and Dash’s relationship was toxic and unhealthy at best, but the slow burn really put things into perspective, and I loved both characters and the way things turned out. Read the TW’s as there are intense and possibly disturbing situations.

First let me say I’m freshly new to MM romance. This hooked me in fast which I was actually surprised.I really loved the story and our MM’s Dash and Stacy.
