ILYA

When I discover my late grandfather left me his bratva empire, I’m excited for a chance to finally prove myself.
But there’s a catch: I need to get married.
Alina, my best friend’s little sister, offers to help me out.
But I immediately turn her down.
The problem is, she won’t take no for an answer.
This marriage will benefit us both.
I get my inheritance.
She gets the creep who’s been bothering her off her back.
Her friendship means everything to me.
If I agree to marry her, I’m putting our entire friendship at risk, because I haven’t been completely honest with her.
Eventually, she’s going to figure out the truth.
That I’m in love with her.
If she doesn’t feel the same way, I could lose everything.

ALINA

Ilya is so much more than just my brother’s best friend.
He was my rock after my fiancé died.
He’s the person I turn to when I’m feeling sad.
He’s one of my closest friends.
Naturally, I jump at the chance to help him out.
It’s just a fake marriage, right?
I didn’t consider is how triggering getting married would be for me.
Or that getting closer to Ilya would lead to unexpected feelings.
I want to open my heart up to love again, but how can I when I feel so guilty letting go of the past?

Scarlet Vows is book three in the Yegorov Bratva series. IIya and Alina’s story begins here and concludes in Scarlet Promise.

You don’t need to listen to Scarlet Secrets and Scarlet Sins to enjoy this duet—but for the richest experience and a deeper understanding of the world, it's recommended to start with Scarlet Secrets.

This series is just getting better!

Love all the dog/shelter loving happening.

Sad that we spend so much time over her grief with Max. I get the process— I just got exhausted that it was holding her back so much.

Onto the next in the series because story is def not finished

The dog shelter and puppy loves 😍

A very different spin a marriage contract and surprise
love. In a new husband and dog.

Positive:Excellent male narrator (ONLY).

The protagonist constantly complains and cries about her husband who passed away two years prior and stupidity. I have never wasted my time more than I did with this book.

This was good until the author turned the lead characters into complete morons.

It was perplexing,, and their never ending inner dialogue as they “discovered” what was painfully obvious chapters before made me want to yell, “Get on with the action already!” Those final chapters feel like walking through knee high mud.

And then the cliffhanger hits like a giant thud. I like a good cliffhanger, but something about this was just annoying.

Great until…
