This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
They say eavesdroppers never hear any good of themselves, which is mostly true. Sometimes, though, hearing something bad can at least be something useful.

Elizabeth Bennet overhears one of the nastier comments made by the Netherfield ‘ladies’ while Jane was ill at Netherfield and cannot quite keep it to herself. She talks it over with Jane, and they take direct action rather than sitting around demurely waiting for something to happen. Their actions change the whole course of their interactions with the Netherfield party.

Who wins? Who loses? How will it all work out? Let’s find out.

Note: This is a low-angst, happy romance story.

I enjoy this author’s stories and this is another one with Amusing and Unusual Scenes. The first (and in my opinion the best one) has Lizzy and Jane leaving Netherfield while Jane is still unwell after Elizabeth overhears Caroline Bingley’s catty remarks. The Jane in this story is stronger than she is often portrayed which I very much appreciate. There’s also a very good — and touching - scene between Lizzy and her mother. That was a surprise. Also, Mary is shown much better in this story - she’s smart and holds her own. Some great - and humorous - scenes between Lizzy and Darcy, but also with these two and Jane and/ or Mary. I will be re-listening to this one. The Virtual Voice has some flaws, but is better than most I’ve heard.

story was okay, a nicely nonstressful liste good for before bed or a 5 hour drive. Digital voice has improved, might want to consider updating this one. Missed conversational prosody.

Sweet simple story Digital Voice ugh

I like how this story is a sweet romance between Darcy and Elizabeth. With Darcy’s apology early in the story it makes sense that they can have a relationship. I like how plausible it is that Jane realizes she and Bingley are just too similar to be a successful couple. No shoe-horning the characters just because they’re “supposed” to be together.

Love Wade’s stories!

Decent story, pretty good virtual voice performance, but there are a lot of anachronisms that take me out of the regency era.

Lighthearted little conflict
