Reunited with my men, I'm ready to take on the darkness that's spreading across the land. But the darkness is spreading in me too, and I'm not sure I'm strong enough to stop it.

With the future itself on the line, I've got to harness my new powers and confront Midian and his demons head-on. As kingdoms clash and magical barriers come down, I'm prepared to fight to save everything I hold dear. I'm ready for the ultimate battle.

The question is, am I ready for the ultimate sacrifice?

Contains mature themes.

I loved this series! The spice was amazing, but the plot and the world building was so good. I'm not usually a vamp reader- but this has multiple elements with magic, demons, humans, kings. not a lot of meandering fluff, just straight forward moving blissful reading. Loved it.

omg this was so good

Spoilers ahead:
This covers all 3 books. The books overall are excellent. Great world building, creative take on vampires/magic, really good plotting overall & the spice was frequent, creative & 🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. There is a significant amount of detailed dom/sub sword crossing ⚔️ in this series. No BDSM, just clear dominance.

Let me say the last book is mostly the best of the 3. Lots of angst, crying, & some criticism. First book has a significant betrayal right away whose circumstances aren’t really identifiable for a while. Really shocking break in character that sets up the whole series & leaves the FMC-Giving isolated, unsupported, & desperate for connections. Book 2 is all about the bonding between the MMC-Laurent & FMC-Giving, as well as the FMC-Giving & 2MC-Varick separate from the MMC/FMC’s relationship. Lots of learning about the magic, prophecy etc. & book 3 was full of tears and angst over the communication failures. One situation truly pissed me off-the MMC didn’t grovel enough, he disrespected his queen publicly & essentially left her out of the central relationship entirely for a couple of chapters. Gotta admit it felt like… an immense abandonment by the 2 - MC’s of the FMC by the author. I understand the direction the author was headed in but that situation just fell a little flat. Frankly it left me feeling like the secondary mc (2MC) was a more significant character in the subsequent scenarios with her. I started to hate the king. However I’m pissed at the 2MC too. He abandoned her when he was forgiven & that really wasn’t cool after what the FMC & 2MC went through when the king planned to harm their relationships in such a significant way. And the FMC subsequently comes off a little 1 dimensional because of it since she didn’t fight back or have many scenes in those chapters. No goals, no revenge, not much push back. Wasn’t a fan of that bit at all. Character growth requires… something that shows she’s invested or ready to kick their asses, at least.

Lots of tears throughout that last book, really needed the 🤧 for the 😭. I do feel like there was some missed magical opportunities for the FMC/2MC characters, especially the 2MC-Varick since he & FMC-Giving had similar backgrounds. Overall really good series even if I wanted to throw my phone a couple of times.

NARRATION: Brentmoor is ALWAYS amazing with the narration in her male & female characters. The male narrator is good with THEIR characters but for the love of god, please don’t let them do that faux female voice again! Especially during the 🌶️ scenes! It’s cringy & comes off whiny. Really takes you out of the mood. I understand dual narration can be challenging but… it just comes off as sexist males making fun of women instead of as key characters interacting intimately. But gimme Brentmoor all day.

Series 4.5, performance 4.25. Tears, fears, & cheers!

I have nothing bad to say. But definitely wear head phones. Trigger Warning for SA and abuse.

Spicy and heartwarming. I didn't think I would enjoy a throuple story and the ending made me cry happy tears. Rewarding HEA.

I am so invested in the characters and I'm so happy with the ending! Adding the epilogues really made the story for me too, I'm so so happy we got them. The story was executed beautiful by Amy and the voice actors ❤️ I'm swooning over varik's(?) actor but they all did amazing! Given's VA is so soothing. I wish I could point out each part of the story I loved and am sad about but alas I'll keep it spoiler free haha definitely worth a listen! ❤️❤️❤️

I'm obsessed!

I don’t understand how you hire 3 narrators for the 3 different character POVs but then not take the time to edit all the dialog so only 1 person performs a specific main character. I get that it takes longer to produce. But why even bother with 2 male voices?

Narration is wild
