Best book of the year

This is the most poetic book I’ve ever listen to. Geoff’s mastery to tell his story in a way that is powerful, hopeful, and raw lets his authentic voice ring through each word. I can’t wait to read/listen to this again to pick up the deeper meanings that slipped by while sinking into words choice and ideas of what it means to my own life.

Raw and truly incredible

This book was first lent to me and it changed my life the first read, it really resonated with me and my past experiences. But this audio book changed it all, it is able to stand out as one of the best audio books I’ve had the pleasure to listen to thank you to Geoff Rickly for this amazing book.

SWIM adds to Geoff's legacy

If you only know Geoff Rickly from Thursday, you are missing out. I'm a huge Thursday fan because of Geoff's lyrics and those words have been incredibly impactful on my life. So when I saw he was releasing SWIM I knew it would be amazing. But it was so much more than that. Someone Who Isn't Me is the first fiction book I've read since childhood. Only Geoff could get me to read fiction. It's an incredible book that blends the facts with a story and that's also because Geoff is an incredible writer. His story is compelling and interesting. I can't wait to read the second book once it's finished.

The vulnerability and sincerity oozes from the reading.

This audiobook details both the inner and outer life of someone who despite feeling down reaching rock bottom still having the will to take a last ditch attempt to face and ultimately slay their personal demons within. This comes through the spectacular Ibogaine trip where the author's musical background shines. I think that everyone should take a listen.
