He shouldn’t look at me like this… but with him, resisting was never an option. Coming home wasn’t part of the plan.
But one scandal, one ruined career, and here I am—back at the university, starting over.
And then I see him. Connor Driscoll. My ex-best friend, the one I left behind without a word… and now my boss.
To him, I’m a reckless memory, someone he shouldn’t trust.
To me, he’s temptation and danger wrapped into one—all lean muscles and brooding stares that leave me breathless.
He thinks I’ll stay out of his way, that I won’t cross the line again.
But that was before… when he didn’t look at me like this.
Because in my story, it’s our past that might burn us both.
Infamous is a standalone romance with second chance, popstar/rockstar, professor/student, employer/employee themes and an HEA.

Connor’s mouth is just FILTHY! 😍 he’s so controlling in the bedroom! It’s his way or no way & I think it just makes his mouth even hotter.
So damn hot!!

Sophie the pop star who leaves the limelight to go back to school and get her degree where she runs into her highschool best friend Connor, who is her professor and hasn’t quite gotten over his feelings for Sophie.
i did listen to this as an ALC- narration was executed exceptionally well by June Deborahae as Sophie and James Cassidy as Connor. June portrayed Sophie’s attitude perfectly and James dominated Connor’s growly persona. i truthfully believe the audiobook made me want to keep reading, they portrayed the characters emotions so well and the duet narration really helped with the push and pull.
now, im giving this a 3.5- the story itself wasn’t really for me. the narration is what kept me invested in the story but i didn’t really love Sophie as a character and i felt like there was a lot of drawn out sex scenes when we should have been getting more plot than spice. don’t get me wrong, i loveee a spicy book but when the book has a plot that is very important to the story and im not getting enough information i find i skim a lot of the spice.
all in all- i loved the narration, the story was definitely steamy and it lived up to the second chance romance genre.
Second Chance Romance w loads of spice

I expected Sophie to be a larger-than-life pop star, but what I got was something far more raw—her vulnerability and brokenness made her surprisingly relatable. Connor, on the other hand, completely took me by surprise. The sweet boy from her past has transformed into a confident, commanding professor who knows exactly what he wants. His dirty talk alone? Melt-worthy. 🔥 Pair that with how protective and grounding he was with Sophie, and he easily became my favorite part of the story.
The chemistry between them is undeniable. Their push and pull kept me hooked, and the steam was seriously scorching. 🥵
What really elevated this audiobook was the duet narration. June deBorahae captured Sophie’s fragility and fire with such emotion, while James Cassidy embodied Connor with that deep, magnetic authority that made every scene crackle. They were fantastic together and made the story impossible to put down.

Like book 1 this was also told in multiple povs. I loved the characters. Although they were flawed there was a realness to them. Connor was Sophie's biggest supporter. He was loyal to her. Sophie had a passion for music, which I loved. She made music that spoke to her soul. I loved the drama and heartache. It was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I loved the angst and all the sexual tension.
As for the audiobook narration, it's fantastic! Performed in duet by June Deborahae and James Cassidy. These two were perfect as Sophie and Connor. They embodied their characters and brought out all the emotions with their expressive tones. June conveyed Sophie with a soft, delicate tone. James conveyed Connor with a deep baritone that exuded his broody nature. Together with the duet narration, they elevated the story for me. I highly recommend the audiobook.

I read a lot of romance, so steamy scenes are not new to me. However, this book elevated those scenes. CHAPTER 13. M'AM. Ivy's carefully crafted spicy details paint quite the erotic scene. You can tell that Sophie and Connor were simply marking time in their lives until they found their way back to each other. Once they do, their chemistry is electric and you can't but fall in love with the way they love each other.
The narration for this story is fantastic. June DeBorahae and James Cassidy are magic in this duet narration. June captures something special and just IS Sophie. James gives a great performance as Connor, but really shines as the skeevy music producers. He creeped me out in the way his narration should have. I can't wait to jump into book 3!
