I usually like this author’s work, but this one fell flat for me. It tried too hard to be sexy, so lust related digressions were sprinkled throughout the plot in places they didn’t really seem to belong. The plot wasn’t uplifting at all.

The narration was choppy / kind of robotic which is common for this narrator, but she has a nice voice. Some of the voices she used were off- like one was supposed to be husky and was definitely not.
