Hilarious and So Good

Mel Dau is truly and amazing writer. The humor and honesty in this book from Hades is soooo real! Even with such an eccentric family, this book hits home on so many levels of context from abuse to foster care and money hungry relatives! Gave so many alternate perspectives! Loved it...read/listen TODAY!

Deserved

The bs that Jinjer went through in her past was despicable. Just to think her own family committed such an atrocious act, was disturbing. What happened to Hades was also disgusting but the final result made me smile.

Loved it!!!

I love me some Chance Smolders!!!! No matter what he narrates it’s always on point!!! Another great book by Mel Dau! This book was filled with humor and love. I would highly recommend!

I wish it was longer

I appreciate how the story touched on some serious issues, especially around the importance of protecting our black boys. while still being light and fun. It was good as a short story but I would have loved to see it developed into a longer story. My only complaint is that the writing would go back and forth between 1st amd 3rd person mid-scene, which was distracting.
