Ember!

I am officially at the point where I will read absolutely anything J. Rose writes. Every book pulls me in, and this one was no exception.

I was so excited to start this series, especially knowing that book three is almost here. After everything the Anaconda Team has been through, I was desperate to finally get their story.

One thing J. Rose consistently excels at is world and story building. From the very first line, "most first dates don't end in a kidnapping," I was completely hooked. She has a way of creating a story that grips you immediately and refuses to let go. And don't even get me started on the cliffhanger. Every ending leaves me scrambling for the next book because I need answers immediately.

J. Rose also writes some of my favorite FMCs. Her heroines are survivors through and through, and Ember is no exception. After enduring six years of captivity and unimaginable trauma, she emerges stronger than ever. What happened to her could have broken anyone, but Ember's resilience and determination made her impossible not to admire.

And then there's the romance.
The slow burn tension between Ember and her men, Warner, Axel, and Hyland was everything. I loved watching each relationship develop naturally, with every connection feeling unique. I'm not going to lie, I love Axel! Then J. Rose threw Blaine into the mix, and it was absolute perfection. The tension, the animosity from the other guys, and the dynamic he brought to the group had me completely invested.

I also highly recommend the audiobook. Will Thorne and Hannah Hedley did an incredible job bringing these characters to life. Their performances added so much emotion and depth to an already fantastic story.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a second book to devour immediately.

Another Great one by J Rose

Okay... I need the second book immediately with that cliffhanger!! I love J Rose's universe that I have stumbled upon. Each world is hauntingly beautiful and the characters are always so easy to read and you can literally see the emotions flowing off the page for them.

Ember has was kidnapped and enslaved 6 years ago. She is now forced to earn money for the horrible man that bought her in underground fights. One night, after a particularly grueling match, she notices a man with onyx eyes watching her in the crowd. Next thing she knows, she is being rescued and dropped off for the Anaconda team to pick her up. She realizes that her brother Tom, his best friend Warner, and his team have never stopped looking for her.

Ember struggles with her trauma even though she doesn't want to admit it and wants to use the tools that were forced upon her to help save the other women. So naturally... She starts training with the Anaconda team!

The slow burn in this book is so good... Just leaves you wanting more from each man! Hyland, Warner, Axel, and even Blaine are every girls dream. I cannot wait to see how we progress in the next book.

Listening to the audiobook was the icing on the cake. The performance by both narrators was so good!!
