Legal Ethics Musical is a satirical, lighthearted (but pointed) look at the journey of an idealistic law school graduate, Mike Keen, as he navigates the treacherous waters of modern legal practice. The show uses humor, memorable characters, and musical numbers to explore themes of morality, justice, and whether “the system” ever truly allows lawyers to do the right thing.

The story takes us from Mike’s graduation day—full of lofty hopes about saving the underdog—to his real-world experiences working for an unscrupulous eviction mill, a powerful corporate firm, and through the District Attorney’s office, and finally to Charlie’s unscrupulous firm. Along the way, he meets an array of colorful figures: some jaded by the system, others beholden to money and influence, and a few who share Mike’s earlier passion for honesty and fairness. These encounters force Mike to question what it means to be ethical in a profession too often motivated by power and profit.
