The narrators Zoe Baxter and Preston Capes performance was pure ecstasy with the most authentic Scottish accents! I could have listened to these two for hours and would still crave for more. Zoe and Preston’s chemistry was absolutely exquisite and will have you seeing stars!

Obsessed is an understatement

Dark Corruption was phenomenal. This was my first book by Effie Campbell, and honestly, I’m disappointed in myself for sleeping on her—and on the entire McGowan Mafia series. This is book five, and I’m absolutely going back to listen to the first four because her writing style and pacing were everything I love in a dark mafia romance.

The spice? Pushed the plot in all the best ways, and wow… it was spicy spicy. The kind that hits and keeps hitting.

The narration by Zoe Baxter and Preston Capes was perfection. They’re both new to me, but their Scottish accents elevated this entire story. Their performances added grit, atmosphere, and emotion in a way that made the world feel fully alive. I will definitely be checking out more of their work.

Don’t sleep on this book—or this author. If you love dark mafia romances with great pacing, immersive narration, and heat that actually matters to the story, this one is a must-listen.

Great Dark Romance

This was a fun one! Ewen is a sex club owner who doesn’t have time or the need for love, until someone he thought he knew catches his eye like never before.

Cora is a good girl. When her twin sister breaks her ankle and can’t work at her normal job. Cora has to play the part of her sister, who works at a sex club. When she finds herself drawn to the club owner, it becomes harder and harder to hide who she really is.

This was a spicy one!! Ewen and Cora are so fun together. Their banter is so good and I love their honesty with each other. No miscommunication in this book and it’s so refreshing.

This audio is so well done and the Scottish accents just add to the uniqueness of this book. Zoe Baxter and Preston Capes are new narrators for me, but I loved both of their performances. I really enjoyed Effie Campbell’s writing and I will definitely be checking out more of her books!

Definitely give Dark Corruption a try if you love dark, mafia romance!

The audiobook was absolute perfection!

Zoe Baxter did an incredible job portraying Cora. Our Virgin FMC with some dark desires…her range was perfection! From portraying her innocence and curiosity to finding her confidence.

Preston Capes nailed Ewen McGowan. His growly dominant voice was EVERYTHING! The accent was perfection. I was definitely looking around with a blush on my face while rapidly pausing my audiobook
