Chris Wright has one shot at his dream.

After years of late nights and countless revisions, an agent finally takes notice of Chris’s novel—but with one catch: he has a tight deadline to deliver a major rewrite. With bills stacking up and no extra time to pick up more shifts, Chris feels like he's barely holding his life together.

Then, fate throws him a curveball in the form of Mia.

Mia, his former high school nemesis—the gorgeous, untouchable girl he spent years feuding with—has just moved in next door. Despite their rocky past, both of them are now facing similar struggles to make ends meet. In an unexpected twist, they find themselves relying on each other. As they grow closer, Chris realizes that publishing his novel isn’t the only thing he’s racing toward. He’s falling for the one girl he never thought he’d get close to.

Will chasing his dream cost him his heart—or lead him to everything he’s ever wanted?

The story was really good. One of the best slice of life's I've listened to. The male narrator was kind bleh at first, protagonist sounded a little lame - kind of too shy, at the beginning, however, as the story progressed the tone changed significantly. Same as the personally as Chris, the male lead. Really enjoyed the book, going for book 2 asap.

Enjoyed the story, one of the best slice of life out there

This books offers everything I’ve come to love about the men’s romance slice of life genre. The characters feel like friends you want to keep spending time with. Mia and Chris are a great couple with real chemistry and you feel like you’ve gotten to know them by the book’s end. The performances on the audiobook are excellent too. I will definitely be listening to this one on repeat!

Cozy, spicy and a whole lot of fun!

I can't wait for the rest of the series for audible. This did a perfect enemy's to lovers. The story was just so well done with the right amount of anticipation, spice, story, and conflict. Probably the best threesome ever . it had my wife sweating from the collar.

My only problem is the Mc doesn't like politics but the story goes into some.

Wow probably the best Slice of life

Dialogue is a little clunky between the mia and the MC. It’s is also a little repetitive. 2 apology scenes seemed almost copy and pasted. Also the dialogue lacks realism. Especially from Mia. Could be the tone used by the female VA as her range seemed a bit limited. MC needs to nut up IMO as well. Overall not bad. Definitely interested on where this goes.

Not bad
