A True Crime Bromance!

I loved Sasha. He is an amazing character and the author does an excellent job with his character development.

Logan is the thirty-three year old hired muscle with the job of protecting Sasha after an assassination attempt. Logan is an ex-cop who took the fall for his partner. He’s the alpha in the relationship.

Vlad is Sasha’s older brother and the leader of the Russian mob in Sin City. You met him in the first two books of this series. Vlad had Isaac assassinate his father right before Isaac and Dallas leave for Thailand. Vlad also harbours secrets that you’ll read about in the next book, ‘Stricken.’

Logan is much older than Sasha. That was the only thing that bothered me about this story. It almost came across as grooming since Sasha was young and had never been involved in an adult relationship before. Or any relationship since he’s a virgin. Sasha was sent to London as a boy in disgrace by his father. Logan calls Sasha, “My sweet boy,” and it just gives creeper vibes.

Insert Russian mobsters, Italian mafia, and South America cartels, and what you get is an excellent crime drama.

The narrators are excellent! Sasha sounds exactly as one would expect, as do Vlad and Logan. Highly recommend the audiobook!

For mature readers due to graphic sexuality, violence consistent with organised criminality, and strong language.

If you can get past those trigger points, it’s an excellent read: poignant, gritty, action packed, and deals with the humanity of losing parents to cancer, finding love in unexpected people, finding meaning to life when everything else is stripped away.

There are a few typos and grammatical errors throughout.

Wonderful addition to this series. the body guard and the Russian mobsters son. The perfect couple! a suspense filled romance with just the right amount of heat. definitely worth your credit.
