ive loved this series so far. but man this one really throws you into the thick of it write off the bat. with no trigger warnings listed in the audiobooks it caught me off guard with how much was shown on page. once you get thru it the story is very good. but fair warning.

darkest of the series

This book was probably the toughest one of the series to read. It's graphic and violent. It's hard to read about stuff like this sometimes when you love someone who went through it. But that being said, I've found it also has helped me heal parts of myself that I didn't know could be healed, and for that I am thankful. Definitely mind the trigger warnings. This one is intense.

Elle has an amazing ability to draw you in to her characters and make you feel as if you know them. This book, this series is so incredibly beautiful and well written. It's characters are deeply flawed, but you fall in love with them anyway. They are all broken, in their own ways, but they are all uniquely beautiful. They love fiercely and unapologetically. They are willing to risk themselves to protect the ones they love - even if they don't always win. I loved everything about this series, and I am so sad that it's over but this will forever be one of my favorite mafia series. I cannot wait for the next gen. I know it's going to be just as amazing as this series was.

Intense and beautifully written

I was lucky enough to read this book as an ARC, and saying I liked it doesn’t even come close. So of course, I had to try the audiobook next.
The narrators did an amazing job. They brought the story to life and made the whole experience even better. It’s a great audiobook for an already fantastic book.

Loved the story and narrators

While I braced myself for emotional turmoil upon listening this book, Elle's portrayal of Amara in the initial chapters completely shattered me. My heart ached for Amara, the formidable female protagonist from Derek & Kai's book, and Santino, introduced in book two. Amara, a fierce and vengeful woman who revels in meting out justice to those who deserve it, endured unimaginable hardships in her past. It wasn't until an angel intervened that she found some semblance of solace. This traumatic experience led her to swear off men unless they provoked her, and then it was just to &them. Amara works for Santino's uncle, who recently passed away. Santi, the owner of half the club that Amara works for, becomes utterly captivated by her when he sees her on stage. Santino is a remarkable male character, embodying patience, tenderness, and possessiveness towards Amara. He comprehends her in a way that no one else does. Hearing their blossoming relationship was a beautiful spectacle. Santi's devotion to Amara was evident, and he never pressured her for more.
Instead, he allowed her to shape their journey together. I also cherished the opportunity to see other Severed Signet couples and witness Amara's journey of self-discovery. She was able to see what her brothers had always yearned for, a love that she had long desired for herself.Once I started listening to this book, I found myself unable to stop listening, hearing the heart break and all the emotion was gut wrenching.
