Mark Robichaud is now the sheriff of the little town of Silver Creek. The days of seeking revenge from those who conspired to have him falsely imprisoned for five years in Yuma Prison are over, or as far as he can tell. Most all of them are now dead. Even before becoming sheriff he came to realize the town of Silver Creek lay in the path of outlaws wanted for crimes completely unrelated to him other than the bounty they carried on their heads. Adding his hatred for criminals of any sort to the bounty was like icing on the cake. He had also become somewhat financially enhanced during the time he was collecting his revenge.
In this new full-volume of Dead Man Out of Yuma: The Safe Cracker, we find a man who is an expert at opening safes because he had built safes before decided to put his knowledge to use in a more dishonest way. We also fine a ex-cavalry sergeant who has stolen the very payroll for which he is responsibly. Their paths will cross near Silver Creek and Mark Robichaud's bailiwick.
