So much LOVE and Emotion

Loved that Jamie is Whiskey, his physical description. Jamie surely had the slow burn in more ways than one. The finale was definitely worth waiting for. I enjoyed the additional chapters with Jamie’s point of you! The longest read for me, but could not stop listening!!

Definitely top 2025 read for me!

I absolutely loved every little bit of the book and the rollercoaster of emotions it gives. The author created a masterpiece for sure!

“A Whiskey stain was just as permanent as ink and I wonder if I truly washed myself clean” -B Kandi Steiner wrote a beautiful emotional wrecking love story where B and Jamie, just like the quote above, spent their time trying to wash themselves clean of each other, but they couldn’t because they were stained in each other’s hearts from the start. B and Jamie made me want to grab them by the shoulders, shake them while yelling, “What is wrong with you, don’t let them slip away” I love how Kandi drew a parallel between love addiction and Whiskey, and how the chapter tiles were a progression towards that addiction. I read the book previously and was emotionally spent afterwards, but listening to this book come to life is an experience I wasn’t ready for and still haven’t recovered from. Audrey Obeyn’s portrayal of B is simply amazing. Listening to her soothing voice I could feel and hear the joy, the happiness, the love, the heartache and the pain. Audrey’s delivery and comedic timing is immaculate. She truly embodied B. Then enters Edward Black with a growl that vibrates your soul. “Good Girl” His voice is so tantalizingly seductive. Their voices are like a tight warm hug. These two narrators perfectly bring to life this, will they or won’t they survive this intoxicatingly destructive yet addictive thing they call love. This book will have you ugly crying, laughing out loud, throwing stuff, happy and sad, while by the end having you hoping to find yourself your own Whiskey.

What I loved most is how human this story is. It doesn’t romanticize bad choices, but it also doesn’t judge them. It shows how people grow, stumble, love imperfectly, and sometimes need years to become the version of themselves that love requires.
this book will stay with you. It’s messy, heartbreaking, hopeful, and unforgettable.!

WHISKEY

So Good!!! I listened to this book on Audible and I do not think that the author, Kandi could not have chosen a better narrator other than the lovely, Audrey Obeyn. Audrey really made the audible book all the more enjoyable to listen too. She really brought the characters to life. Audrey’s narration skills are subperb. This book was definitely a slow burn for me, yet intense. So many times, I even got angry at “B” and Jamie. This book is definitely one to be put onto one’s TBR list. I truly enjoyed their love story and oh, it was quite a story!!!
