In a world where science has conquered mortality, humanity is promised a new era of endless life. Dylan Marin, the charismatic and infallible CEO of EternityNow, introduces the ImmortaCell vaccine, a medical marvel that promises to eradicate death and suffering forever. As the world embraces this new "immortal age," one family, the Callahans, feels a chilling spiritual dread. Guided by a deep faith, they refuse the vaccine, seeing it as a counterfeit promise.

Their quiet dissent quickly turns into a desperate struggle for survival. As society embraces EternityNow's mandates, including a system that makes life impossible for the mortal, the Callahans are forced to flee to a hidden sanctuary in the wilderness. There, a young tech prodigy named Aiden Victor, who finds his new purpose in the wilderness sanctuary, becomes a crucial part of the resistance. But the spiritual war escalates when EternityNow introduces a new "booster" for children turning thirteen—a product designed not just for physical health but to secure a willing spiritual allegiance. Aiden's younger brother, Leo, is only weeks away from his thirteenth birthday, putting him in immediate danger.

With his younger brother's soul on the line, Aiden must leave the safety of his sanctuary and venture into the crumbling city, risking everything to expose the lie and save his brother from a choice that would bind him to a false eternity. In a world tearing itself apart, where the line between savior and serpent has blurred, can a family's enduring faith uncover the truth before humanity is forever lost?

Oh wow. I don’t know what else to say. This book is phenomenal! It will have you on the edge of your seat! This book took me on a whole roller coaster of emotions, and brought me to tears. (Books rarely make me cry)

I have never read an end times book before, but this was super cool! I love that the villains were intelligent and actually evil. It’s also a bit scary because I could totally see this happening in the real world today.

The depictions of faith in this book were absolutely beautiful. Even the deaths. Which I think is saying something. And while this book scares me, it also gives me hope to think that God has a plan, and that he will bring together the people who have the skills needed to survive, and provide a way for his people to survive in the end times.

I absolutely love love love the character development, and how the author shows that not everyone takes the same road. And I love the part where they take over the influencers broadcast😂😂. I’ve never heard the without wax story before.. but it makes sense and I actually like it. It’s a really cool parable.

I was conflicted a bit about the deaths, which could be just a me thing. I get that the deaths were a testimony to the people in the Sculptor’s Guild, but I’m just struggling to figure out how they are a testament to the world. But this is more of a minor thing for me. Maybe just something I have to mull over more😂 Unless someone can explain it to me😂

Narration:
I LOVED Tan’s voice so much! She was the perfect choice for this narration project.

I listened to this book at 1x speed.

Content:
Gore: None
Cussing: None
Romance: Kisses
Violence: mentions of war

There is also a shadow (aka demon) I was not bothered by it at all, it was just there sometimes. Families are separated. There is a pretty emotional death in this book. It’s not graphic, but it made me cry. This book deals with the end times.

A 6 star listen!😍 I love this book so much!
