Elizabeth comes home & stays with frenemy Nate

Elizabeth is the daughter of Dr. Denise and hockey dad Zack. That makes her Cooper Stone’s granddaughter but sadly no scenes with him or her grandma. Lots with her brother Jack though and a few with parents and Uncle Max. There are also mentions a a few of her cousins from more recent books like Arielle and Lexie but the only disappointment in this book is not much dialogue with other family members. She has the mouth and sarcastic wit of her uncles M & M which makes for an entertaining read. When she comes back from a 7 year stint in Australia for her brother Josh’s over the top wedding prep she is stuck staying with former crush & her brothers’ best friend, Noah and his Golden retriever and 2 cats. A fun, very cute romance, once an epic misunderstanding is cleared up. This is a light hearted, enjoyable read that is definitely worth the credit and for fans of the Stone hockey family, it is a holiday treat not to be missed, though spoiler alert for early readers, this was released before Lexie’s story and there is a brief mention of her HEA and her obvious hero from cousin Arabella’s book.

Just what my holiday loving heart needed by one of the best writers in rom com. This was such a great read and a joy to spend with so many characters we love and miss. Amazing edition to the Christmas rom com collections of books you must listen to.

Cute Holiday Story

Elizabeth doesn't like Christmas and her family knows this. Her brother is getting married Christmas Eve. She has to travel from Australia to New York. Not only is she suffering from jetlag but the airline has lost her luggage AND her family forgot to pick her up. She finds out when she get to the family house that there was a plumbing accident at the hotel and people had to be relocated - some to her bedroom. Things are not going well and Nate offers his guest bedroom. This goes against what both want. They had one fantastic night together seven years ago and a big misunderstanding the morning after. Nate is her brother's friend and has grown up around Elizabeth. They both haven't gotten over the one night. They always argue to hide their feelings. Now that they are in close proximity, their attraction to each other is undeniable. Will they discuss the morning seven years ago and figure everything out? The fact that Elizabeth lives across the world is a problem also. The pre-wedding celebrations are over the top for Christmas hating Elizabeth but she goes through them for her brother. I liked this story and also the narration of Jason Clark and Samantha Cook.

Cute, once I got into it.

Initially, I couldn’t stand Elizabeth. So annoying. But I quickly feel in love with her and the mega-banter between her and Nate. Sweet story!

I loved this holiday spin-off on the family! It was perfect — the right amount of banter, the hilarious moments that actually make you laugh out loud, and all the feel-good holiday vibes. The characters were awesome, and the narrators brought them to life so well. They played each character perfectly, making the whole audiobook even more fun and entertaining. Perfect listen for the holidays!
