A trip to remember — with the man she can't forgive . . . or forget.

Jules, Silas, and Grant were once inseparable — until Jules and Grant got engaged, Silas inherited a billion-dollar empire and everything fell apart.

Then the unthinkable happens. Grant is gone. And Jules is alone.

Now the only person who can help her heal is the one man she swore to hate — Silas, the best friend she pushed away.

Silas has loved Jules since he first set eyes on her. But he lost her to his best friend. And now he's lost his best friend to something his money couldn't fix.

But a letter arrives. Grant's final request: Show Jules how to live again.

Silas must take Jules on the adventure she's always dreamed of . . . with the man she hates most in the world.

From golden Spanish sunsets to the sparkling coast of Amalfi and the magic of Parisian nights, Jules wants nothing to do with Silas. But there is a thin line between love and hate. And somewhere along the way, the man she left behind, begins to look a lot like the one she can't live without.

This is my first time reading Lily Parker books and I'm pretty happy with my choice in picking this series; This story follows Silas and you learn more about Grant and his fiance Julia. Grant asks Silas a final request to look after Julia. He let him know that he's always know what Silas' real feelings are towards her and how long he has felt that way. Julia absolutely hates Silas because she is secretly hiding that she holds Silas responsible for Grant's passing. They have to spend time together on a trip in order for her get the last 4 letters he wrote her prior to passing. She slowly starts realizing that she doesn't hate Silas as much as she thought and is feeling guilty because Grant and Silas were best friends. It all works out in the end for Silas who everyone thinks is a playboy that cares about nothing. You will fall in love with Silas. He is also in the other stories and reading his story you understand why he always came across as easy going and why he was always on trips to other places (making people think he was always on vacation with a different woman)

I did enjoy almost all of this book until we get to the end. When as we all know, something terrible has to happen in the relationship, then the people have to question everything, then they break up for a little bit, then they finally get back together, like, oh, you're the love of my life. so as always during the breakup, the blow up in the relationship. The female lead starts questioning Silas's true intentions as if the whole book has not stated how he always loved her. It drives me crazy!

Lost love story.

Nothing I dislike. I always look forward to the works of lLily Parker. Listened to all of them here in audible. The first one was very cute. The second was profound. This third one is exciting. Looking forward to to her next.

The second conflict after the jump and course the steamy moment

I finished this because I'm a sucker for a predictable ending but by the last quarter of the book really started to cement my hate for the main female character. She's such an idiot, there's no way she didn't know about S's feelings since college, a girl knows. She's so selfish and unlikable and doesn't deserve either of the men that loved her. The basis of the story is so unrealistic too, and borderline icky. If you want a contemporary romance that's relatable this isn't it. If you want a farfetched fairytale set in modern day then it's fine I guess. The performance was great and really carried the bad plot.

Fun Read, Bad Writing
