Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.

Over 1,600+ pages of pulse-pounding action, heart-wrenching drama, and enough snark to fuel a starship.

They said saving twelve million lives would make him a hero.

They were wrong.

Captain Xander Hawk sacrificed everything to rescue a doomed transport—his career, his freedom, and any chance of seeing his wife and daughter again. His reward? Life imprisonment in the galaxy's worst hellhole, where the only thing worse than the inmates is the food.

But when a ragtag crew of misfits, con artists, and battle-scarred warriors break him out, Hawk discovers his sacrifice was just the beginning. The Kethorin Empire—brutal, unstoppable, and armed with technology that rewrites the laws of physics—has set its sights on total galactic domination. And the only thing standing between civilization and annihilation is one beat-up starship held together by duct tape, spite, and a really sarcastic AI.

Welcome aboard the Starblade, where the odds are impossible, the crew is certifiably insane, and survival is just the warm-up act.

Grab the complete saga today and join the rebellion that refused to die.

"Think Firefly meets The Expanse with a captain who has Han Solo's attitude and Kirk's heroics; then add more explosions." — Beta Reader

I really wanted like series. I trudged through the first book with hopes, but it steadily got worse. Virtual voice has a long way to go yet and, despite the author's issues, I can't help thinking that an RC Bray narratoon could have carried this series. As for the writing...a few things are clear. 1. The author loves Star Wars and Star Trek references...ad nauseum. 2. The author loves Chicago...ad nauseum. 3. The author loves analogies...yep, ad nauseum. And lastly, the crew and ship are ALWAYS out-manned, out-gunned, with no hope, and yet they always pull it off...inexplicably, ad nauseum. Skip this one. Free is too much to pay.

Virtual voice and bad storyline ruin this one.
