Buying back Wild River Equestrian Center is supposed to be my victory lap—the moment the Blackwoods reclaim the legacy we built from the dirt up. Instead, I show up to find Briar Winters already moved in, working her fancy dressage horse like she owns the place.

Turns out we were both sold the same property by different scammers, and now the title’s a legal mess. Our lawyers can’t fix it anytime soon, which means we’re stuck sharing a barn, a training arena…and a too-small apartment for the next ninety days.

We strike a deal: train our horses, stay out of each other’s way, and settle it with one final competition at the Montana Equestrian Festival. Winner gets the ranch. Loser walks.
