The first book in an epic new dark academia romantasy, perfect for fans of the Zodiac Academy and Atlas Six series, about a young woman named Summer Tuatha De Daanan who enrolls at the magical Avalon University, where she must uncover the secrets of her past, find the mysterious benefactor who paved her way, and stop a sadistic killer who threatens to drench Avalon in blood.

Fear, Fury and Fire.

To Know is Not Enough.

Power flows through the ancient halls of Avalon University like a neverending flood. Admission to the elite institution enables students to hone their magic under the watchful eye of their icy headmaster.

Summer Tuatha De Daanan planned to slide through her tenure at Avalon, unnoticed and inconspicuous. She has no interest in learning more about her past or why someone applied to the school on her behalf. Her emotional walls keep everyone at bay, and her sharp tongue makes people give her a wide berth. Yet, despite her best attempts, her emotional armor begins to melt from her feral vampire roommate to the angelic senior who is never dissuaded by her feigning disinterest. Maybe this could be good for her, a new life. Yet, dark secrets lurk in the halls of Avalon, and soon those same halls are drenched in blood.

Summer finds herself as the obsession of the sadistic stalker with the warning: Seven lessons to learn. With the help of her new friends, she races against the clock to solve the mystery, hoping to save lives and catch the killer before it's too late.

honestly i’m glad it was so long because like
the character development is worthwhile and makes it more of a story about the MCs not just a story about how they end up saving the world - not that i don’t enjoy that too, but it’s harder when you’re trying to keep things succinct and i don’t feel like they conjugated that build out here. i love that alice and summer are a bit unhinged but im glad there are the trigger warnings so you know we’re getting an unhealthy POV. i’m so invested in the stranger and so sure i know who it is i can believe we didn’t get a reveal but like i WILL be marking my calendar for september 8. i laughed, i cried, i cringed at the MC being an idiot with her love life in the end (iykyk) but really loved it overall would definitely recommend if you’re a romantasy girlie looking for something •the same• but ~different~

it’s a LOT but in a good way

This book destroyed me in the best way. I stayed on the edge of my seat the entire 29 hours - I didn’t think it was possible but the narrators were phenomenal and the story was phenomenal and I can’t think of a better ending

This book was everything 😭

Okay… I have about 10 hours left and I genuinely need to know if I should DNF or if this actually gets better. If I have to hear “big guy” one more time, I might lose it, it feels like it’s said every other paragraph at this point.

The audiobook narration also isn’t helping. The female narrator keeps pulling me out of the story…sometimes she sounds much older than the character, and the accent feels inconsistent, like it randomly appears and disappears.

The story itself is cute enough so far and definitely has potential, but the FMC is starting to get frustrating. She’s written as very distrustful, yet somehow ends up trusting almost anyone who gives her attention. It’s starting to feel repetitive and a little tedious.

It’s okay so far but repetitive
