What's a girl gotta do to be your type just for the night?

Our 4th FMC for Silver Pines Ranch is Cassie Spencer, Ivy Spencer's little sister (Training the Heart). She's a rising country music artist who fans have dubbed the, "Princess of Bluegrass." We first meet her at Silver Pines Ranch when she's adamant about riding a very temperamental horse in order to get a good video for her social media following. Normally, the who "influencer" thing would be off putting for me, but that stereotypical influencer type is NOT our spitfire Cassie! Her personality is likable and relatable. Win, win! She's in town visiting Ivy when she gets into a little situation where a tall, strong, tattooed Charlie Hunnam with a Tom Selleck mustache comes to her rescue.

Enter Haden Westbrook (insert Nick Miller screaming GIF here). He's hot. Like HOT hot. From his attitude to his heart, this fictional man had me at hello. Haden is the top hand at Silver Pines Ranch, making his boss (Wade) our FMCs brother in law. Haden has a bit of a past. The town football star turned rancher when a torn ACL removed him from the College ball to NFL career path his (dick) father wanted him on. His back story makes you want to reach into the pages and love him, "You are enough Haden!" Haden is a big animal lover which is an automatic 10/10 for me. Works with the horses at the ranch and at his friend Penny's animal rescue. All swoon worthy qualities in this MMC.

The pain have instant chemistry. It's undeniable, they're inevitable, and I was here for all of it. From night one (so so good), to drunken nose boops and the best damn game of Uno ever, Cowboy and Princess are hands down my favorite story of the series so far!!

Paisley can truly do no wrong in my eyes. Every single thing she has put out, I have read, devoured and ADORED. This book specifically, however, hit me just so much harder. When I tell you I couldn’t get enough of Cassie Spencer and Haden Westbrook, that is the epitome of an understatement. To the point where it took me a really long time and my audio re-read to be able to form true words how much I loved them. Coming from someone who suffers from anxiety Cassie’s strength and Haden’s unwavering support was something that I will truly never get over. Their connection was magical in a way that they were just so clearly perfect for each other, I was enamored with them from their first interaction. I don’t cry very often when I read but this one got me a few times and I couldn’t have been happier about it. You get all the usual swoon and spice that we come to know and love from Ms. Paisley and I can promise that you will not be spared a filthy mouthed cowboy. I can also assure you that you will not be disappointed when you start looking at a game of UNO differently. I guarantee that you will be feral to get back to Silver Pines, just like I always am. Infinite stars for the Princess and her Cowboy. Bring on Asher and Olivia! I’m so ready!

This was a really cute small town romance. I really loved their connection and would recommend this audiobook to anyone who wants a sweet & fun romance.

The storyline

Great plot and spice!!! I loved the character development. I loved the winter setting! Can’t wait for the next book!

Paisley Hope! I seriously have no idea what you put in these dang books!! But Freeing the Wild was no different! Wade and Ivy have been my favorite couple, but Haden and Cassie might have taken the top spot!
I love their individual stories, and then when their story came together!! *swoon* 🤌🏻 Cassie is so dang sassy, and I loved it! I felt for what she went through! Haden! 🫦 You sweet, filthy-mouthed, wrangler-wearing cowboy! I loved his patience and his banter with Cassie. This book was everything! It has the found family we have grown to love over 4 books! It has everything! I love this book so much and will talk about it all the dang time!
