Excited for the series, need to catch up on the OG

I was so excited that this released the week I was going to be at Apollycon to meet this author in person (I didnt get a chance to see her though, was stuck in the other room the whole time!) but I devoured this audiobook when I was getting ready and packing up towards the end of the event. I loved this premise, it had me hooked from the very beginning.

I wanted to hug Shiloh so badly, she had a rough go of it and was not feeling wanted or seen, and no one would blame her for ending her relationship when she did. They didnt take it well (no spoilers but they don't go away easily) but she has to fly back home and her heat is brought on early by the stress and all the smells in a confined space. Cole was so yummy, coming in to save the day and that scene in the cockpit....so good hahaha. I loved his other pack members too but I think Cole was easily my #1!

Once they get through her heat (lots of good moments and some scary moments in those chapters) it was adorable to see them talk around it/want to court her. I loved seeing her get to know them, spend time with each of the three. Each have some things to get through/over but they finally get on the same page so they could navigate it together. Jonah was an interesting character and he would be someone I would want in my harem. With his amazing family, he had a good model for what a pack dynamic should be and he did everything he could to bring his friends together to make a new family. I loved his courtship too, sooooo many swoonworthy moments and phrases from him. Mac was the wildcard for me and my brother watches a ton of streamers so I could imagine that specific scene in my head. I was happy he recovered and spoke his feelings and insecurities with Shiloh. The communication could have gone poorly but thank goodness that author skirted that!

Steam in this one I thought was strong in the beginning and the chemistry wa impeccable but somewhere towards the 2nd half of the book things felt a little off for me. Not sure I could really pinpoint it but some things were skipped, we had some time jumps, going for the bonding and how all of that went down. The flow/pace didnt feel as strong/solid as it started out if that made sense. I gave this story 4.5 stars but ended up rounding down because of that feeling/how the 2nd half didnt match levels with the 1st half of the story.

Audio was good in this one, I haven't listened to either narrator before (at least based on their back catalog on here) but I will be checking out more by them because that brought these characters to life and helped me easily imagine this world in my minds eye. I thought the male narrator did a slightly better job with the different emotions and personalities he did. Not saying the female narrator had issues, I just connected more with the male narrator more. I felt the fear, the happiness, the anxiety, the anger. So many good moments and chapters, no big feedback from me!

I would give this 4-4.5 stars and am already intrigued for book 2 for Jonah's sister to get some HEA on her cruise! Love this author, she can't go wrong with anything she writes at this point haha.

Amazing

I really love this audio book. I first read it on KU and when I found out it was being made into a audiobook I got really excited and pre ordered immediately. A great addition to my collection.

Spicy and sweet

A sweet insta lust(insta love in Jonas' case) story about an omega who never feels good enough and three alphas that are devoted to her almost as soon as they see her. Crazy ex's(her ex's) and two virgin mmcs make this a fun read full of yearning, devotion, self esteem and character growth for the fmc, and having someone who never felt like she was enough be absolutely everything to these three guys. One of the better omegaverse books out there. 5/5🌶 and 9/10 read. It was really sweet. Not a huge conflict to get over. No third act break up and low angst. The narrators did a great job. I only wish it was a true duet. During the fmc's chapters the female narrator voices all the male and female voices and vice versa with the male narrator. Didnt bother me in a big way and didn't really detract from the audio book. I definitely want to read more about Claire and maybeeeee Elliot of my gut is right

I love how from this book is narrated

The narration is done very well. And there's enough distinction between the characters for the male voices that I was able to tell which one was which

Sarah Blue has created an amazing omegaverse. This is Sorenson pack 2.0. While I prefer duet style, these two voice actors do a good job with the duet style.
