What happens when a type-A small-town baker and a Hollywood lawyer collide?
Whoopie…
pies, for starters.

Audrey Nouel didn’t swap Manhattan’s Michelin stars for Maine’s whoopie pies just to fall for a man who wears thousand-dollar suits like pajamas. She’s got a bakery to run, a cease-and-desist letter threatening her business, and zero chill for the city-boy Grinch who strolls in looking like he wrote the naughty list.

Jack Lourd didn’t plan on spending Christmas in a postcard-perfect harbor town—or partnering with a feisty baker who swears she doesn’t need his help. He’s here for his movie-star client, not to trade legal briefs for frosting bags.

But toss in one ill-timed snowstorm, a gingerbread house catastrophe, and a Christmas tree takedown that goes viral, and you’ve got a hot recipe for whoopie.

The Holiday Whoopie is a panty-melting, laugh-out-loud holiday romcom packed with small-town shenanigans, heat that doesn’t stay in the oven, and enough sugar to make your heart skip a beat.

I enjoyed the narration, very well done by the actors.

Two years ago, Audrey left a career as a Michelin Star chef to open her own Whoopie Pie bakery in Hideaway Harbor, Maine. Her baked goods are amazing with clever, slightly suggestive names.

When Jack comes to Hideaway Harbor with his client/friend who wants to produce a movie in a small town, he's not prepared for festive winter celebrations, not to mention the cold and snow.

This town is uber cute, with a trust fund for their free range dog, and people who might be a little nosy on occasion but will be there to lend a hand when you need it. Just the exact right mix I love in a small town romance.

And Mike the hairless cat? I can't believe it took me a whole chapter before I got the joke - read it, it's great!

Oh, how I loved this audiobook. I read the book and had to get the audiobook. Kasi Hollowell and Ryan Dunlap do an amazing job with all the character voices. I love Audrey and Jack. But Mike the cat and Skippy the dog are fantastic. Also all the side characters! The banter is great. The scene with the deer make me laugh still. I have listened to this story multiple times and still enjoy it. It will stay a part of my Christmas rotation.

Big town lawyer unexpectedly finds love in a small town with a transplanted bake. Great narrators

Cute story

This picked up toward the end but I ran a bunch of it on a fast speed to get it moving along. I know that each of these authors has a different writing style but this one really dragged for me. Narration was okay.

Found it slow
