Earth has been devastated by a comet.

Just before impact, alien caretakers collected human specimens and placed them in a wildlife preserve on an orbiting starship. A small group led by Sierra Preston and David Williams escaped, only to find the ruins of Earth inhabited by vicious creatures known as gorgers.

The group returned to the alien ship, determined to convince the caretakers to release the remaining human specimens and help them defeat the gorgers.

Unfortunately, the aliens have a different agenda.

THE PRESERVATION OF SPECIES trilogy comes to a thrilling conclusion in BEASTS OF PREY, a post-apocalyptic science-fiction adventure filled with unforgettable heroes, terrifying monsters, and heart-pounding action.

Stacy has a different pace than my recent series' I had listened to, but, I really enjoyed his style.

Mr. Jones on the other hand just delivered the last part of your appetizer! I greatly enjoyed the direction and misdirection of the story. There wasn't as much of "backstory" development as there was in the previous books. There were some characters that got the treatment, but, I didn't notice much of it since it wasn't needed.

This book did a great job at figuring out a good path forward for the survivors, but, it wasn't all rainbows and unicorns. There's a few parts where you just say "F that person" and maybe it works out for the best and sometimes it doesn't.

One thing I will say is that Mr. Jones needs to do is make at least one more book or possibly another series. The Earth's part in the bigger picture seems to be on a path of resolution and you can tell he did pretty well in wrapping it up. There's still questions regarding the aliens that are left unexplained. Maybe it's because I've listened to so many sci-fi books that have finality to them, but, I feel like the aliens and their crusade(?) can be explored a lot more.

I'm hoping for more either way. Thanks for the books!

Good narration and a great story!

The story is great, the idea behind the series is fantastic! I connected with, loved (and hated) the characters. ADHD keeps me from reading as I would like, but this kept me in it from beginning to end. Man, I would love to see this as a mini series or movie.

Perfect ending to a great series!

Interesting and satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. This was a fascinating post apocalyptic alien sci fi story. I greatly enjoyed the first two books. This third one was also good, though some of the extreme moralizing by some of the characters was very annoying. Also the ending kind of dragged a bit. But overall, definitely worth the time! The narrator did a fantastic job and I will be looking for more of his work.

Great story that you will not soon forget

Jones can really write a cliffhanger chapter-ending, and it keeps you glued to the page. This was a great finale to the series. It's a cool premise with interesting, original aliens and fantastic edge-of-your-seat action. Loved it.

A super fun sci-fi action / adventure

This trilogy was such a good read. Book 3 came as entertaining and surprising as the other 2, and again I could not see things coming. I was 100% sure Cameron would react totally differently than she did at the curve ball that came at her btw, but nope, I was wrong again lol. It was very hard to put the book down as usual, and I only wish it didn’t have to end. Thank you, Geoff! That was so much fun. You gained a follower and I’m looking forward to what you’ll come up with next! 🤩👌🏻
