The old Cal couldn't handle this. But when I stumbled through the dream portal, I became something more.

I'm no longer Cal Newhart, divorced college student and ex-marine. Now I'm the Paladin, a supernatural knight of legend.

It's not going to be easy. But, with most of the male population withered away, someone will have to defeat the Vrag and repopulate Telos. Fortunately, I have two hot young princesses at my side, and a female warrior who could make Xena blush.

I've got a wild ride ahead of me.

Different but good

A marine becoming a paladin works strangely well. The protect and serve part is already in the job description but mixing that with a divine influence and you have a paladin. What i like most of the Isekai style is the adgustment period the character has which can make or break a story. Marcus Jahn and Sara Goldstein have done a wonderful job with the narration.

he said she said I said

while I loved the story. and the readers.
it got really annoying how many times the word (said) was used. that was my only gripe with the book.

everything else was amazing.

will be getting the second book.

Marcus’s whining in his narration is just gross. It brings down every book he is in just a bit IMO. I like the story and female narrator.

I quite enjoyed this book, captivating, it was quite enjoyable, if you enjoy litrpg books you will enjoy this one

Need a new male voice actor

The story was intriguing and captivating the female voice actor was amazing . However the male voice actors main characters voice was grating and whining, it was hard to listen too and irritating . the character himself didn't whine as much as the actor portrayed him to be and the voice that accompanied it was horrendous. I might skip any book that has Marcus Jahn as a voice actor.
