Following the events of Stranger Things: Season 4, Nancy Wheeler and Robin Buckley are hot on the heels of a new mystery – and they won’t stop until they solve it.
Hawkins, Indiana, is in recovery. It’s been two months since Vecna’s earthquake tore through the town, and its residents are still reeling from the devastation. Nancy Wheeler has spent every waking minute on the hunt for Vecna, but he’s continued to elude her. How can she head to Emerson for college in the fall if Hawkins is still under the influence of the Upside Down?
When fellow classmate Joey Taft starts acting shifty at graduation, Nancy is convinced Vecna’s found his newest victim. Joined by fellow amateur sleuth Robin Buckley, Nancy doesn’t waste any time questioning Joey. What the girls discover leads them down the path of a bigger story than The Hawkins Post could ever have assigned Nancy. Why are people around town suddenly getting sick? Why is there a strange man tailing Nancy as she investigates? And, most important, does this even have anything to do with the Upside Down?
Together with Robin, Nancy embarks on a dangerous quest for the truth. The deeper the two dig, the further Nancy finds herself drawn into a web of intrigue that threatens to trap her in Hawkins . . . forever.

Having loved the series, I was a bit disappointed with the pilot for the new season because it felt like there were so many unanswered questions, like we were missing out on so many details, especially those pertaining to the relationships and Hawkins and all that, and having listened to this, THIS WAS WHAT WAS MISSING.
It’s perfect, the author does a very good job portraying Nancy’s feelings as the oldest in the family, and the Mom and Daughter moments? Chef’s kiss.
The chapters ended in such a way that we HAD to listen to the next, I would have finished it in one sitting if I read the print.
The writing style is very Nancy Drew like that I think if Nancy survives, Caitlin should make this an ongoing series.
It’s the perfect blend of mystery, action and emotions, I could see the scenes play out if it was on the show.
Also, NOW WE KNOW why Nancy hates being called Sweetheart 😁
And why the Byers are housing at the Wheelers.
Where El and Hop are.
How the radio station became the base of operations.
Why the relationship is awkward between Nancy and Jonathan.
So many questions answered.
And Kudos to the narrator for nailing the voice of Nancy, Robin, Jonathan and Joyce from the show.
My only complaints were for Mike and Holly, for except in that last bit, Mike and Holly were voiced as if they were from Season 1.
BRILLIANT BRIDGE BETWEEN S4 and S5, Should have released earlier.
