Very short. Very sweet. Very spicy.

This book is short and sweet and very spicy. I didn't really fall for Casper. After all he is an assassin. And he left his forced wife alone for 10 years! Humpf!

The narrator, Umi Markkanen, is one of my favorites. She has a pleasant voice with great emotion. She plays the parts very well. I like her male voices too. 5 stars for her.

The elusive assassin!

Casper Van Horne is an enigma. He's a man who quietly lurks in the shadows and nobody knows exactly what he does, but he works closely with Dixie Reapers MC delivering girls and women in danger. He rescued Carmella and made her his wife, in name only, because he had promised his daughter that he wouldn't marry again because her mother was the love of his life. For ten years, Casper has left her alone, thinking that she was better off without the elusive assassin. But when Carmella's life is in danger from a benign tumor on her brain, Casper returns to help her face the surgery. As he realizes what he left behind in this sweet, wonderful woman, he can't help but think that he made a monumental mistake. I really liked that the reader finally got the story of the man who has been a side character throughout the series.I always expect excellence from Umi Markkanen and in Casper Van Horne, she once again delivered. 

Kind of Bittersweet

But mostly sweet. I loved these characters and the whole story it was a bit sad but then sweet and a little fun towards the end. Narration was great.

Loved it

I feel like this is a complete wrap up of everything involving him. I’ve always wanted to read his book and I listen to it on Kindle but nothing beats your narrator voice. I truly love your books. I love that Casper is fine love again and definitely that Camilla isgetting her one. True love Ish. Can’t wait to hear from Spectre and the other assassins.

I loved this side character.

Casper honestly thought he was protecting Carmella by marrying her and not being around. What an eye opened her got when he came back ten years later and she wanted - HIM!!!!

Umi as always does a splendid job of being true emotions to the characters and immersing you in the story.
