Suspenseful and intriguing

I didn’t read the first book but this one takes care of the backstory. It is not a standalone story though—total cliffhanger at the end! The narrators are fantastic—I felt how the characters were feeling. Great storytelling all around!

Short and Spicy

At the very beginning, I was a little lost and confused as to what was happening. But it only took me until part way through the first chapter to realize that this is the second book in the series and what I was missing is what happened in book 1. Even though this series stated in the previous book, I had no problems quickly getting caught up with what was going on and was able to easily get lost in the story. This is a fairly short story and one that I definitely didn’t want to put down. Georgia is a retired call girl that has moved to Los Angeles with her mother and trying to start a new life while providing everything that her mother needs. She had a unique connection with the last client she was with, and she can’t get him out of her head. But when a job that is way too good to be true comes her way, she can’t say no. She is torn in a million different ways. She is such a dynamic woman that is doing whatever she can to have it all. Phillip is stuck on a call girl that changed his whole world. He tried to find her but was told that she wasn’t there anymore. But fate has a funny way of doing things to stir things up, and a call girl is hired for him that gives him all the feelings that Elizabeth did. The chemistry between these two was absolutely off the charts and it had me hanging on to see what happened next.

This was definitely the perfect book to listen to on audiobook. It was on the shorter side, and the narrators did a great job of keeping me engaged in the story. Dani Staro did such an excellent job of not only voicing Georgia, but being able to also voice her in multiple different voices. I hadn’t had the pleasure of listening to Brandon Bonavir before this book, but he was the perfect voice to portray the business minded man that is absolutely hung up on the call girl he spent time with in Vienna. He brought Phillip to life, just as Staro breathed life into Georgia.

This was a short, spicy book with a bit of plot but mostly it was about the connection between these two people. It leaves us with a cliffhanger, so I am excited to dive into the next book in the series. This is definitely one worth listening to on audiobook as both narrators are just fantastic. It is easy to get through this book in a shorter amount of time because of its length and just the fact that you can dive into into this story and the characters.

What a twist!

Georgia picks up the story with deeper emotion, sharper tension, and a whole lot of heat. Phillip can’t shake Elizabeth from his mind, and meeting Georgia at a California tech conference only tangles his feelings further. Their chemistry is instant, complicated, and impossible to walk away from.

Georgia’s storyline is raw and heartfelt — she’s doing everything she can to survive and care for her mother, and that vulnerability makes her connection with Phillip hit even harder.

The audiobook is excellent. Dani Staro brings Georgia’s softness, pain, and strength to life, while Brandon Bonavir gives Phillip the perfect mix of control, longing, and emotional unraveling. Together, their performances make the tension and spice even more addictive.

A quick, intense, high-spice billionaire romance with emotional depth and characters you can’t stop thinking about.

Once I started this I did not want to stop listening!

You know a story is good when it pulls you in and consumes you.

Great job narrating Dani Staro and Brandon Bonavir. So hot!

I was so sad when this book ended. It ended on a cliffhanger and I wanted the next book immediately!!

Duet Narration brings this story to life

This is my first time stepping into this series, and the narration is what pulled me in right away. Dani Staro brings Georgia to life with a quiet strength that fits her perfectly. Georgia is a woman juggling survival and care, trying to support a mother with dementia while keeping herself afloat, and Dani’s performance gives that weight real texture without ever feeling heavy-handed.

Brandon Bonavir’s Phillip is such a great part of this listen. He plays a man who is still haunted by what he lost in book one and confused by the way he recognizes Georgia but can’t place why she feels different. His delivery gives Phillip this blend of restraint, frustration, and buried tenderness that made every scene with him land a little deeper.

The duet format works well here. The story leans emotional, with themes of reinvention, secrets, and two people trying to understand each other while carrying very different pasts. Even without having read book one, the performances made it easy to settle into their world.

A solid, quick listen with narration that elevates the material in the best way. Thanks so much to Dani Staro for the ALC.
