All’s fair in love and Warner.
They say all is fair in love and war. Clearly, they haven’t met Warner Landers.
The ruthless billionaire had me begging him to spare my family’s restaurant from a buyout. In response, he shamelessly flirted and walked away wearing a smug smirk.
Karma strikes, literally, when he crosses the street.
Unconscious, he’s rushed to the hospital, and for some unknown reason, I’m swept in right after him as if I know this man—or worse, that I’m married to him.
Am I in too much shock to deny the allegation? Yes.
Am I still using his short-term amnesia to my advantage? Absolutely.
Playing the doting wife to a grumpy CEO won’t be easy, but I’m determined to save my family’s livelihood. I just didn’t expect him to be a changed man after the accident. Far graver (for me), the iciness between us begins to thaw, and our fake marriage starts to feel real, making it easy to forget my mission.
When his memory begins to return, so does the truth. We’re at war, and falling for the enemy wasn’t part of the plan.
For fans of While You Were Sleeping and You’ve Got Mail comes the newest heist of a romance where their hearts are bound to get stolen.

What truly stands out is the authenticity of the relationships depicted. The dialogue feels real, capturing the nuances of human connection in a way that is both relatable and thought-provoking.
Overall, "Love and Warner" is a must-listen for anyone who appreciates a heartfelt story. It’s an experience that stays with you long after the last word is spoken. A solid five stars!

Thoughts:
This was such a fun twist of a billionaire romance. Initially I was just a bit shocked by the premise because it was a bit out there. However, really most romance books are in some fashion or another. No one wants to read a book that is so based in reality, because let’s be serious- most book boyfriends are the stuff of fairytales.
The way this story progressed was so cute and felt like an old school rom-com movie!
The audiobook was a dual narration performed by Aiden Snow and Callie Dalton. They were a fun time to listen to!
Overall, an easy and entertaining read/listen to start the new year!

Let's see... Starting out - these are not spoilers, they're in the book blurb:
Delaney graduated from college a couple of years ago. While she's job searching, she's helping out in the family restaurant. I'm a little vague on what's happening with the property, but it's in danger of being sold, which would result in her family losing their livelihoods and their homes.
She goes to visit Warner, the man in charge of the deal that's going to ruin their lives, to try to get him to think with his heart and not his wallet. That conversation goes to heck in a handbasket. When Warner is injured and winds up in the hospital with a concussion and just a little bit of amnesia, Delaney makes a spur of the moment decision, claiming to be his wife.
Sooo... there's some enemies to lovers but definite attraction between the two. Warner knows she's lying but he can't remember enough to call her out. It's a good story but there are a lot of things that bothered me, most of all Delaney's behavior. But also, you have to take on some denial of evidence when you read this because there's no way someone as smart as Warner wouldn't have found a way to get to the truth in a couple of days rather than several weeks.
I usually love everything S.L. Scott writes. I liked this one but some of the stretches to my imagination were a little over the top.

Delaney contacts the grumpy CEO, Warren, whose company is threatening to close her family restaurant. Her motives are pure to start, but I admire her moxie when an accident leaves Warren with short term amnesia and miscommunication has her pretending to be his wife. Warren is doing his best to tie up the deals his father was working on when he passed. He’s confused and amused by Delaney. These two begin as oil and water but they are both stubborn. It becomes a cat and mouse game as the charade continues. They each have a different end game and reason for keeping it up. The further this goes along, the more they learn about each other and start to give the other what they need. It’s an odd enemies to friends to lovers journey and I’m a fan.
Narrated by Aiden Snow and Callie Dalton. They both have been out of my ears for a while and it was great to hear their funny, engaging performances that enhanced this story.
This started with some While You Were Sleeping vibes, then a little War of the Roses and Mr. and Mrs. Smith mixed in. If that’s your jam, then you need this one.
Fun romcom with a twist
