Jackson "Stacks" DeLuca is the baby of the DeLuca bunch.

He's always lived in the shadows of his older brothers, but that didn't stop him from making a name for himself. His witty charm was his secret weapon, and he used it at every angle. When he uses said charm on his brother's bar manager, Kasha, he had to put in overtime because she wasn't giving him the time of day.

Kasha Sims is the hard-working and loyal bar manager of Linc's.

She's easily one of Buck's favorite people because of her hard work and dedication. She's also the target of his younger brother Stacks' affection. Things go on behind the scenes with Stacks and Kasha that cause her son's father to wreak havoc in their lives. With disloyalty on the horizon, can Stacks and Kasha build a life together or will he have to prove that he isn't the DeLuca to go against?

Walk Through the Fire by Tacarra is an emotionally layered story that explores love, trust, and resilience in the face of trauma.

Kasha is a strong but guarded single mother navigating life after a toxic relationship, while Jackson—despite being significantly younger—proves through his actions that he is ready to lead, protect, and love her fully.

The age gap dynamic is handled well, showing Kasha’s hesitation and internal conflict, while Jackson consistently demonstrates maturity beyond his years.

What stood out most was Jackson’s unwavering presence—not just for Kasha, but for her son. His actions spoke louder than words, especially during the most intense and dangerous moments of the story.

The conflict involving Kasha’s child’s father adds tension and urgency, highlighting themes of protection, loyalty, and accountability.

Overall, this audiobook delivers a compelling blend of romance, drama, and emotional depth.

Highly recommended for listeners who enjoy urban fiction with strong character development and high-stakes storytelling.

This was a much needed laugh! The author has a wild sense of humor! I laughed through this entire book. The narrators did not help either🤭 They did an amazing job reciting and performing each character in this series. I never became confused or lost regarding each character. This book series could definitely become a television series. I will continue on to book 3 now. I highly recommend this series.
