Saving the world would be a lot easier if Kevin's destined partners would stop trying to murder each other.
Princess Daphyse has been preparing since age 16 to marry the prophesied hero. Champion Trish fought her way to the top of her warrior culture specifically to claim him. And High Priestess Imelia has spent her entire life in spiritual devotion, convinced the divine has chosen her alone to guide Kevin to his destiny.
The problem? All three of them are right. Kevin needs the power of all three Sacred Gems to stop the encroaching demon threat and save the world from eternal darkness in five days.
To make matters worse, Daphyse keeps showering him with expensive gifts and matrimonial ultimatums, Trish has already claimed him in front of her entire kingdom, and Imelia's devoted clergy treat him like a living god while she sneaks into his bedroom to confess her feelings. Add in the uncomfortable realization that refusing any of them might doom millions of people, and things are officially complicated.
Most guys would kill for one woman this devoted. Kevin just has to survive having three.

It had a good conclusion.

-A ridiculously short time limit for saving the world? Check.
-Unprepared, hapless main character who constantly succeeds despite himself? Check.
-A bunch of dangerously unstable, severe personality disorders disguised as hot women? Triple check.
-An unstoppable army of demons we never actually get to see and a big bad who repeatedly pulls punches? Two big checks.
-At least three last second victories that felt painfully contrived? Check-a-roony.
I could go on but that's enough. Some twist to the formula or just one genuine surprise would have helped enormously. But as it is it's just another guy who wins because he's supposed to, complete with detailed prophecies. After the half-way point I was skipping scenes and eventually two whole chapters because I could no longer stand the characters and seeing them enjoy themselves was making me angry. I was honestly hoping the big bad would win.
Exactly what you think it is. No surprises.
