A Great Start to the Arc

This particular book felt like possibly its just filler to power level the MC so that hes ready for the main gauntlet that hes totally not getting involved with or there is a bigger picture that its building up to plus the power leveling/cultivation. Was a fun cultivation book but lacked any real action/story progression. I prefer a better mix but it could be worth it depending on how all of this comes together. Either way I haven't disliked a single book in this series though some are markedly better than others. Im hoping this is leading towards a big revelation before the war breaks out between all of the factions once the trial is over.
