Finn Lassiter is a werewolf without a pack. Or a roof over his head. Or more than five bucks to his name. He’s exhausted every lifeline except the one that makes him want to howl: begging his cousin, the supreme alpha, for charity. After the way Finn behaved for their entire lives, it’s entirely possible he’ll be turned down flat or banished forever when he makes that call tomorrow. So today he’s blowing his last dollar at Nectar & Ambrosia—he needs one more smile from the bakery’s beautiful owner to weather the bleak years ahead.

Ganymede, former cup bearer to the Greek gods, is reveling in his new life as a restaurateur in Portland, Oregon. He’s finally free of the Olympians and their extremely tedious menu options. Finn, the cute customer who’s haunted the corner table in his bakery since opening day, is just icing on the cake.

When the gods stage an encore, however, attempting to weasel out of their Fates-mandated atonement labors, Gany’s new livelihood isn’t the only thing at stake—Finn’s safety and freedom are at risk, too. Of course Gany invites Finn to stay with him until the danger passes! It would be irresponsible not to. Right?

Although with all the baggage he’s carrying from his past, that idea just might be only half-baked…

What an interesting paranormal listen!

This is an interesting listen and kept me anticipating what was next! I absolutely adore how the crossover of these series happens so seamlessly!

love a redemption story!

I am going to start by saying I love a good redemption story and this one was great! Finn fully recognizes he was in the wrong and made some terrible choices and honestly does not feel he deserves redemption. With Gany's help he comes to realize that he can get a second chance. Plus, Gany was just loveable and the treatment of his trauma felt thoughtful and respectful.
And I have to point out how impressed I am with Russell's rendition of the Greek gods. There are tons of romances with the Greek gods as love interests and I won't say I didn't read and even enjoy some (because I did). But if you go by the myths, the gods were awful and terrible to people just because they could be. Seeing them have to do atonement for thier behavior, awesome ;)
Greg Boudreaux is so much fun to listen to. the characters sound just like they do in my head.

A Charming Follow-Up Novella

The novella had a heartwarming redemption arc and happy ending for two characters from the author’s previous books.

Love the whole series!

I the myth-matched series. I enjoyed the more serious books around the Kendrick brothers, and the private eye series was cute, but these short, fun, quirky romances are my favorite. EJ Russel has done a phenomenal job of world building and blending multiple mythologies together with modern ‘mundane’ culture. You can be sure that within minutes of receiving a message from audible that a new EJ Russel has dropped, I’m downloading and disappearing into their newest creation.
