Axel has been focused on being a professional fighter, not allowing for any type of distractions, especially those of the female variety. He’s been fighting one way or another since he was kid, someone had to defend his brother after all. Professional fighting is his dream career. It’s the one thing he’s great at and he won’t allow anything to get in his way. He has the drive and determination to be as good, if not better than his mentor, Danny “The Reaper” Siobhan. Too bad for him life didn’t get the memo.
Melody, or Mel as she prefers to be called, knows a bad boy the minute she sees one. She has made it her life’s goal to stay far away from those tempting creatures. Sure, they’re fun for a little while, until they destroy your heart and leave you with nothing but a handful of sketchy memories. Nope, best to avoid temptation at all costs. Heck, even the guys at Needles Edge know to keep them away from her. When it comes to men, the more boring, the better! Well, until she has a momentary lapse in judgement and tells the too handsome bad boy at the gym to come see her for his ink. But what self-respecting tattoo artist could ever let anyone walk around with crappy ink on their body? Her decision definitely had nothing to do with wanting to get her hands all over that gloriously muscled body!
Can two people who are hell bent on staying away from any distractions, realize that certain distractions make life better? Or will the stubbornness that has led both of them to usually succeed, be the catalyst needed for life to deliver a harsh knockout?
